This is a day to honour ourselves, each other and the earth and our unique place in it, to develop our ability to walk the earth in a grounded, conscious, joyful and purposeful way, and to help sustain us through the challenges we are facing at this time in our lives and in the world.  We will be using the Dances of Universal Peace, drawing on the wisdom of many spiritual traditions, as well as the Chief Seattle Cycle honouring the Earth, to raise awareness we can draw on to help us in our day-to day lives.

The Dances of Universal Peace are inspired by the wisdom and sacred phrases of the spiritual traditions of humankind. This is meditation in action, linking the individual with the deeper aspects of their being.  They are danced in a circle using very simple movements, whilst singing the sacred phrase with live music. Gulzar, a certified dance leader, loves to share the dances along with some other breath /sound/ movement practices to help bring us to deeper presence with ourselves and each other. For her the dances have been life changing and bring great joy and connection. 

No experience necessary.  All are welcome.

 

Arrival after 11.00am for prompt 11.30am start
